The Region 6
Homeland Security Governing Board’s Exercise Committee is responsible
for determining the exercise and funding needs of communities in the
region. The Exercise Committee is also responsible for conducting regional
exercises, as well as local exercises which enhance regional capability.
The Exercise Committee also conducts surveys of all
jurisdictions to determine their exercise and funding needs. All funded
exercise activities must meet the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation
Program requirements.
A Regional Exercise Design Committee was formed as a
subcommittee of the Exercise Committee.
Funding requests from all jurisdictions are considered, and the
Exercise Committee develops a recommendation for approval by the Region 6
Governing Board.
